The African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) 2022 took place from 23 – 25 August at Kigali Marriott Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda.
This event was held as a hybrid event, with participants present in Rwanda, and others online and focused on Internet interconnection dynamics, content distribution, and transit obstacles at local and regional levels.
AfPIF aims to promote the development of national and cross border interconnection and offers the African technical community a unique opportunity to showcase interconnection challenges and opportunities.
This year’s forum marked a return to in – person sessions since its postponement in 2020 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Infrastructure providers, Internet service providers (ISPs), Internet exchange points (IXPs), mobile network operators (MNOs), content providers, large enterprise networks, policymakers, Internet enthusiasts, and regulators.
